About us

LuxyList started with a simple question:

Why is it so hard for creators to safely receive gifts from their fans?

Back in 2019, I kept hearing the same stories from friends who were starting to build audiences online. Fans wanted to send them gifts, but there weren't any good options.

Most people relied on Amazon wishlists, PO boxes, or generic registry sites that weren't built with creators in mind.

Amazon limited you to their catalog.

PO boxes worked, but they came with their own risks.

And many wishlists still required creators to reveal personal information.

I understood those risks personally.

Years earlier, while working as a model, a fan once sent a gift to my PO box and then waited outside the post office hoping to catch a glimpse of me picking it up. It was unsettling, and it stuck with me.

It also made something very clear: the internet was creating a new kind of public figure, but the tools designed to protect them hadn't caught up.

Creators were building communities online, sometimes overnight, but they didn't have the infrastructure traditional celebrities relied on.

So I decided to build it.

LuxyList was created to give creators a safe way to receive gifts from their communities without sharing their personal information. A place where fans can send something thoughtful, creators receive exactly what they want, and privacy is never compromised.

What started as a simple idea quickly became something much bigger.

Today, LuxyList is used by creators and public figures around the world to build wishlists, connect with their supporters, and receive gifts in a way that feels personal, intentional, and safe.

A Small Team With a Big Vision

LuxyList is still a small, women-owned and led company, built with care and a lot of late nights.

I founded the company in 2020, and in 2022 Donia joined the team to lead operations and customer support.
Since then, the two of us have worked side by side every day: Building the platform, Helping creators, and Solving the unique challenges of running a gifting platform on the internet.

Since launching in 2021, LuxyList has helped creators receive more than $4 million in gifts and fulfill over 10,000 wishes—building meaningful connections between creators and the communities that support them.

We're still a small team, but we believe that's part of what makes LuxyList special.
We're close to our creators, we listen carefully, and we build thoughtfully.

Shantel Evans

Founder

Shantel Evans is the founder of LuxyList and the driving force behind

the platform's vision and growth.

Her path to entrepreneurship has been anything but conventional.

Before launching LuxyList, Shantel served in the U.S. Air Force, including time stationed in Japan and two deployments to Iraq. She later worked as a model in New York and spent a year in medical school before ultimately turning her focus to building companies.

A single mother of two daughters, Shantel has built LuxyList while raising her family and living a life that reflects her belief in reinvention and possibility. After the pandemic, she spent several years traveling full-time with her daughters, living in twelve countries while continuing to grow the company.

Shantel believes that success rarely follows a straight path. She has never been afraid to start something new, pursue opportunity, or take an unconventional route if it leads to building something meaningful.

She is a strong advocate for women founders and is active in philanthropic and professional organizations that support women and expand opportunities for underserved communities.

Outside of LuxyList, Shantel is usually chasing adventure somewhere off the map — sailing, scuba diving with sharks, hiking volcanoes, or traveling to parts of the world most people never think to visit.

Donia Love

COO

Donia has spent more than twenty years working in startup operations — which means she's done just about everything.

From customer support, payment processor negotiations, and crisis management to strategic planning. As one colleague once described it, startup operations are often held together with a mix of "scar tissue and duct tape."

For the past four years, Donia has been the operational force behind LuxyList, managing the complex and often invisible work that makes luxury gifting feel effortless.

She likes to say her job is a bit like being Santa Claus year-round — just without the elves and with a lot more email.

Outside of LuxyList, Donia is also an artist. That creative practice shapes how she approaches operations: spotting patterns others miss, building elegant systems from chaos, and finding thoughtful solutions to tricky problems.

Operations and artistry, it turns out, are just two different ways of using the same creative muscle.

Why We're Building This

At its heart, LuxyList exists for one reason:

Creators deserve better tools.

The creator economy has grown incredibly fast, but the infrastructure around it is still catching up. We believe gifting is one of the most personal ways a fan can show appreciation. It's thoughtful. It's intentional. It creates real moments between people. LuxyList exists to make those moments possible — safely, privately, and beautifully. And we're just getting started.
